I'm a software engineer working out where I'm most useful, somewhere between computer science and the research that needs better tools. This site is being rebuilt while I find that direction. The thing wiring itself together behind these words is roughly the idea: scattered work finding better connections, whether that happens through software engineering, data science or machine learning.
Before the degree, I spent the better part of seven years as a software engineer, building production systems for real companies. It's work I still take on today. I'm now a third-year Computer Science & AI undergraduate at Kingston University London, pointing that experience somewhere more ambitious.
I want to work where software engineering meets research, building the tools, data infrastructure, and reproducible systems that scientific work increasingly leans on and too often lacks. An internship at Cambridge is where that clicked. I'm still narrowing exactly which corner of it is mine.
I love programming, AI, and data science broadly, and I'm endlessly curious about how programming-language parsers work, and about linguistics more generally. Big Linux nerd (I use Arch, btw), and my editor of choice is Helix, which is like Vim but goes even more brrr. Away from the keyboard, I cycle, and I have a habit of turning up to social gatherings I have no business being at.
